Course Overview
SHB30416 Certificate III in Hairdressing reflects the role of hairdressers who use a range of well-developed sales, consultation and technical skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of hairdressing services to clients. They use discretion and judgement to provide client services and take responsibility for the outcomes of their own work.
This qualification provides a pathway to work as a hairdresser in any industry environment, usually a salon.
Are there any prerequisites or entry requirements?
There are no formal pre-requisites or entry requirements for SHB30416 Certificate III in Hairdressing, however Sechi Hair Academy requires that students obtain approval from a parent/guardian if the student is under 18 years old.
Students are also required to attend an entry interview as part of the enrolment process to confirm that they understand the course delivery arrangements and expectations and that the course is suited to their career aspirations.
What is the duration of the course?
The SHB30416 Certificate III in Hairdressing runs for approximately twelve (12) months, and is held four (4) days a week. Classes are held on a Monday and Tuesday, with Simulated Hairdressing Workplace sessions held on Wednesday and Thursday.
All classes commence at 9:15 AM and conclude at 3:45 PM, with a thirty (30) minute lunch break provided at 12:15 PM.
All classes are compulsory as student attendance is vital to ensure students are taking part in classroom discussions and activities. If you are unable to attend class on the day, please notify your trainer at least thirty (30) minutes prior to the commencement of classes. Repeated absences may lead to deferment, and in severe cases, termination of your course.
